How it works
Four steps, in this order, and nothing gets cut until you have approved a drawing.
- 1
Consultation
Before we do anything we want to understand you and your family's needs for whatever piece you have in mind. You may know exactly what you want right down to exact dimensions and style. Or you may just want something beautiful that fits your space. We can work with both.
- 2
Design
This is where the fun begins. During this phase we will take the info from our consult and create a render or sketch of your piece of furniture. This is also when you pick out your wood species or slab, epoxy colors, legs, and the rest.
- 3
Build
At this point, with approved drawings, we execute. A lot of care and craftsmanship goes into every single piece that leaves our shop. You are paying for gorgeous furniture that will outlast all of us. We take that seriously.
- 4
Deliver
The most exciting moment in the process is when your new piece of furniture is out of our shop and sitting in your space for the first time. Most of our pieces leave Florida. Wherever the house is, it is crated in the shop and delivered white glove, and set in place.

What you are actually paying for
One maker, start to finish
The person you meet at the consultation is the person who draws the piece, selects the boards, cuts the joinery, and delivers it. Nothing is subcontracted, and nothing is built to a stock size.
Solid hardwood, chosen board by board
Sustainably sourced from American sawmills, and never a veneer over particle board. The species is your decision, made with the actual boards in front of you.
Built weighty, to be inherited
Tops the thickness of a beam and joinery that holds for generations rather than for a warranty period. Most furniture sold today is designed to reach a landfill within a decade. A piece from this shop takes two people to move and is designed to be refinished in fifty years instead of replaced.
Questions we get asked first
- Do I need to know what I want before I call?
- No. You may know the piece right down to the dimensions, or you may only know that the room needs something. Both are a fine place to start.
- How is a piece priced?
- Per piece, after the consultation, once the size, the species, and the base are settled. There is no catalog price, because there is no catalog size.
- Can I see it before it is built?
- Yes. Nothing is cut until you have approved a render or a sketch, and that is also when you choose the wood species or the actual slab.
- Do you deliver outside Florida?
- Yes. Most of our work does. Pieces are commissioned by homeowners across the country, crated in the shop, and delivered white glove wherever the house is.
- What woods do you work in?
- Solid hardwoods, sustainably sourced from American sawmills. Which species is part of the design conversation, and it is best had with boards in front of you.
Begin a commission.
A rough idea is enough to begin. You do not need dimensions, a drawing, or a species in mind. The consultation exists to settle all three, and nothing is quoted until you have approved a drawing.
