Our History
Heritage American Woodworks grew out of our love for our people and place. We truly believe that our natural resources are beautiful and worthy of preserving. And we believe our fellow Americans are exceptional. They are industrious, innovative, rugged individuals with strong affections for their family, history, and faith.
They deserve furnishings that reflect that.
Like the Colonists and our Founders we remember the past while striving for the future to leave our home better for our children and grandchildren.
As a child, our Master Craftsman grew up in the woodshop with his grandfather sawing, chiseling, and sanding to produce beautiful products for loved ones. It wasn’t his trade but a means of giving back to his community. That’s just the sort of man he was. Even in his later years he continued to serve his people with his gifts.
Today, we have witnessed the degradation in quality and beauty of mass produced furniture. Most furniture looks soulless, uninspired, and is designed to be thrown in a landfill within a decade. We set out to do something different. We set out to remember the past while striving for the future.
This means we aren’t afraid of trying new things. But we also respect past traditions. Neoclassicism, Art Deco, and American Colonialism greatly impact how we design and build furniture; thus, we bring the past into the present with a level of quality that will ensure every piece can be passed down to your children’s children.
